About the Gallery
Midtown Art Gallery (MAG) is an independent, Sacramento-based curatorial project showcasing original works from regional artists and private collections. Focused on accessibility, inclusion, and integrity, MAG connects creative talent with collectors through a flexible, artist-first platform.
While MAG operates as an online gallery, select works are available to view in person by appointment. Purchases are facilitated in partnership with Antiquité Midtown, where local pickup is coordinated.
Unlike traditional galleries, MAG doesn’t rely on exclusivity or long-term agreements. We’re here to support visibility, creativity, and connection—without limitation or gatekeeping.

MAG is proudly supported by Antiquité Midtown, a private event venue known for championing Sacramento’s creative community. All artwork transactions and pickups are coordinated through Antiquité.
About the Curator
Jason Richardson
Founder & Curator, Midtown Art Gallery
Jason Richardson is a California-based artist and curator with over 30 years of experience in the art world. His work is rooted in abstract expressionism and surrealism, drawing on everyday objects, natural environments, and the dynamic energy of form, texture, and color.
With an MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and a BA in International Relations from UC Davis, Jason brings a rare blend of intellectual curiosity and expressive vision to his practice. His paintings have been widely collected across the Sacramento region and featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
As the founder of Midtown Art Gallery, Jason curates rotating collections that highlight original works by local artists and private collectors. His goal is to elevate creativity beyond the confines of traditional galleries, offering a flexible and supportive model that encourages artists to explore, connect, and sell without limitation.
When he’s not in the studio, Jason teaches and advocates for accessible art education, with a special focus on youth and community engagement.
